The residents of the Waddon Estate will now have their own Sunday football team to support after Croydon Council and the local resident's association agreed to sponsor the team.
The Waddon Community Football Club has been launched to unite the community behind a common cause and give local youngsters on the estate an activity and club to join.
The club are now holding a raffle and auction featuring a signed cricket bat donated by Surrey CCC, and a signed Crystal Palace football shirt, to raise much needed funds for the club.
