Players set to battle out the women's FA Cup Final at Selhurst Park on Bank Holiday Monday, were welcomed to the borough on Thursday.
Fulham's Jess Wright and Charlton's Carmaine Walker were among a number of players and staff who attended a town hall reception with Mayor Stuart Collins on Thursday, April 24.
The reception was part of a number of Croydon Council initiatives to help promote the women's flagship game and Crystal Palace's caretaker manager Steve Kember was on hand to wish the girls luck.
Bank Holiday Monday's final between Charlton Athletic and Fulham will be the third held at Selhurst Park, with over 24,000 spectators enjoying the previous two showpiece matches.
In addition to the match, there will be plenty to enjoy with music from a DJ, entertainers and face painters outside the ground, and a Samba band chanting challenge inside.
The first 1,000 fans will also get a free goody bag. Kick off is at 1pm. For ticket information call 020 8771 8841.
