ONE of the borough's best loved parks celebrated a milestone birthday at the weekend.
Broomfield Park reached its centenary on Sunday, having been given to the Enfield public in 1903.
A number of people turned out to celebrate the event, with a tea party being held at the bowls club following the Southgate Bowling Club's match, and a tour taking in the floral "100", the round pond and the new centenary seat.
The weekend also marks 19 years since the catastrophic fire that gutted Broomfield House.
