DETECTIVES investigating the murder of Harlow mother-of-three Beverley Brinkley have expressed their disappointment that no-one has come forward with information about the attack.

The 35-year-old was subjected to an "extremely violent" attack in a third-floor lobby at a block of flats in The Stow, Harlow, at 7.45pm on Sunday, February 2.

Police and ambulance officers found her with serious head injuries. She was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital before being transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge where she died.

Despite Crimestoppers offering a £5,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of her killers, Harlow's major investigation team has yet to hear from anyone with knowledge about the attack.

Senior investigating officer Detective Superintendent Win Bernard said: "There are people who can tell us more about the events leading up to that brutal attack. I want to reassure those people that their initial contact with us will be treated in total confidence."

Police have issued descriptions of two men seen leaving the crime scene. One was white, fairly short, in his late 30s to 40s, with dark wavy hair. He was stocky with dark eyes and stubble, wearing a dark green or black bomber jacket over a light-coloured top, dark jogging bottoms and builders boots.

The other man was white, taller than the other, stocky, in his late 20s to early 30s, with short blond hair and wearing a dark bomber jacket, black washed out jeans and smart black leather shoes or boots.

Anyone with any information should ring police on 01279 641188.
