I am writing in support of the Fireman who put an article in this week's Croydon Guardian concerning abandoned vehicles.

There was an article on the BBC news concerning this issue. I want clarity regarding the Croydon area and the issue of abandoned vehicles.

The Mayor of Croydon advised in this paper about three weeks ago, that everything was up to date on the abandoned cars front.

Please can he explain to us why it takes five weeks for a vehicle to be lifted after a 24 hour notice is issued.

South Norwood is a very dangerous area at night with a lot of youths hanging around the area. Abandoned vehicles are like a magnet for kids to set light to. So please can this problem be taken seriously for once.

Please Croydon Council, stop delaying this issue before it is too late and someone pays for it with their life.
