I wanted to thank everyone in Croydon who has written to me with kind words concerning my husband Reg.
To recap, Reg had the terminal illness motor neurone disease and like many others wanted to choose how and when he died.
In the UK it is illegal for a doctor to help a terminally ill, competent adult like Reg to die, and so we were forced to travel to Switzerland for Reg to get his last wish.
The journey to Switzerland was terrible for us all. Reg always said he loved his country and he wanted to die at home.
I have written to local MP Richard Ottoway asking him to reflect his constituents' wishes and support and change in the law.
