A MAN and his two nephews were held captive at gunpoint in their own home by robbers on Sunday morning.

Three men armed with a pistol and claw hammer forced their way into a house in Hallam Gardens, Hatch End, at 8.15am. They threatened the 55-year-old man and his nephews, aged 25 and 21, with violence and then began to ransack the house looking for valuables.

They fled with computer equipment worth £1,700 and a £200 mobile phone.

One of the men was described as black, 5ft7, slim and wearing a black jumper and blue jeans. The second was also black, 5ft6, slim and with short, black hair. The third was Asian, 25, slim and wearing a grey bomber jacket.

DS Tosh Khosah of Harrow CID said: "It is believed that the suspects may have been using a green and yellow Transit van with Interlink' written on the side. This vehicle would have been parked in Hallam Drive for at least 10 minutes, and I'm keen to speak to anyone who may have spotted it and may recall other details, such as its number plate."

Witnesses are asked to call DS Khosah on 020 8733 3436.
