WE finished our league campaign rather disappointingly on Saturday with quite a heavy 5-2 defeat at Forest Green Rovers. We gave two bad goals away, got ourselves back into it and then shot ourselves in the foot again and they could probably have scored more.

Having said that if Coley timed his runs a bit better we could have had a few ourselves.

I must give a mention to the fans who travelled to the game and stuck behind us throughout. Thankfully they didn't let the scoreline dampen their spirits and they looked to be enjoying themselves.

It would have been nice to go into the play-offs with a good run behind us but the last two games have certainly not knocked the boys confidence in any way.

Everyone is really looking forward to Thursday where we face the first of two very hard games against in-form Morecambe. Cup games under the lights against the likes of Exeter, Leyton Orient, Luton and Plymouth have turned out to be pretty memorable games over the last few years so hopefully we can add this one to that list.

We will obviously be looking to press our home advantage but the main thing is not to lose. If we go up there all square they will have to come at us which will suit us, allowing us to hit them on the break.

Whatever the outcome of the play-offs it has been a good season with a top five finish and another cup run. Last year obviously hurt a lot though so it would certainly be sweet to be celebrating at Stoke come May 10.
