ANYONE who believes in omens will be pleased to know that the two leagues either side of the Conference have seen good fortune for clubs formed in 1992. Rushden and Diamonds have just gained promotion to Division Two and Aldershot Town, also formed in 1992, have won promotion to the Conference. Now all that is left is for Dagenham and Redbridge to follow the trend and win promotion after also being formed 11 years ago.

BOTH play-off semi-finals are pay on the day and the Supporters Club will be running a coach to the second leg. They depart at 8am from the ground costing £15 regardless of whether you are a member or not. Coaches must be booked and paid for by tonight (Thursday).

IT WILL be a busy summer for some of the Daggers who will be looking to add to their semi-pro caps as the Four Nations Trophy kicks off in Wales. Keeper Tony Roberts is aiming to defend his title in his home land and he may find himself up against fellow team mates Junior McDougald, Mark Janney and Paul Terry, who have all been called up to the England squad this year. Roberts said: "I haven't heard anything yet but I'm hoping for a call especially after winning it last year and having played quite well, it would be good to defend our title."

MARK Stein will be looking to add two more clubs to his personal hit-list before the end of the season. The striker has scored past every Conference club bar four, two of those being Morecambe and Doncaster and if all goes well he could soon add them to his tally.
