BUSINESSMAN Haleem Kherallah is bidding to take control of QPR. The West End businessman has made a bid for a 26 percent shareholding, currently held by the present board, and other shares held by former chairman Chris Wright.

If Kherallah is successful in capturing both blocks of shares he will have a sufficient stake in the club to become both chairman and main shareholder.

He said: "I'm completely and totally committed to this. The club has so much potential and I can give it security."

Meanwhile Rangers' chief executive David Davies fears the worst after their match on Saturday was marred by a pitch invasion and reports that a coin was thrown from the stands.

He said: "The referee's match report makes grim reading.

"It's not far-fetched to suggest that, should this kind of behaviour recur, the FA could impose severe sanctions."
