THE new extension at the Tesco store in Church Langley, Harlow, has opened with the Church Langley Way store now boasting an improved layout, customer cafe, hot chicken and fresh meat counters, new customer service desk and improved customer toilets.
New departments include electrical goods, children's clothing, toys and Tesco Cook Shop.
Store manager Stuart Eyres said: "The store is now bigger and better and we're already receiving lots of positive feedback from customers who love the changes, especially all the new ranges."
Fifty new jobs have been created as a result of the extension, which took six months to build and has increased the size of the store by a third.
Mr Eyres added: "All the staff have been fantastic, they've worked round the clock to ensure minimum disruption to customers. I would like to thank them for all the extra work they have put in it has been a real team effort.
"I would also like to thank all our customers for their continued loyalty and patience over the last few months."
