DEMOLITION of three 1960s tower blocks began last week as part of a multi-million pound project to improve residents' quality of life.
Phase II of Orpington's Ramsden Revival will see the four-storey blocks Medway Court, Arun Court and Cuckmere Court, on Rye Crescent and Quilter Road, demolished.
They will be replaced by 53 new affordable homes.
John Laing Partnership is carrying out the development as part of a £5.5m contract awarded by Broomleigh Housing Association and Bromley Council for the second phase of a six-phase programme.
The demolition work is expected to take around ten weeks.
