PRIMARY school pupils were given road safety and stranger danger tips by their local PCSO.
Kent police’s PCSO Dan Haynes visited the reception class at Craylands School in Craylands Lane, Swanscombe, last week.
After teaching the children about the dangers of strangers and how to cross the road safely, he took them out into the school car park to practice what they had learnt.
He said: “This was a fantastic opportunity to get across both the stranger danger message and teach road safety to very young children who don’t always think before they do something.
“A current priority for police in Swanscombe is to monitor and restrict speeding vehicles. This visit taught the children what to do and when, while having fun at the same time."
