A SUCCESSFUL school has been given top marks in a glowing report.
Wilmington Primary School, Common Lane, Wilmington, is one of the most successful and improved schools in the country, according to the Chief Inspector of School's Ofsted annual report.
Headteacher Duncan Finlayson said: "It's a credit to the staff, the support of parents and the hard work of the children."
The school, which has been extensively refurbished, features a design studio, computer suite, after-school sports clubs, a pro-active parents' association and a strong governing body.
It received outstanding marks following last May's Ofsted inspection and was among 393 schools to be singled out throughout the country.
