WARTIME big band favourites will be echoing around Slade Green next month as the community celebrates the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
The event is being hosted by the Slade Green residents' panel, part of the Community Safety Action Zone initiative. It will also be used as a fundraiser for the tsunami appeal.
The theme will be the 1940s and everyone is expected to go in fancy dress.
Music will be provided by the 17-piece big band Straight, No Chaser.
It is at Slade Green Community Centre in Bridge Road on March 26, for adults only and starts at 7.30pm until 11.30pm. Bring your own food and drink.
Tickets cost £7.50 and are not restricted to people from Slade Green. For tickets call 0800 389 5013.
