POLICE seized crack- cocaine, heroin and thousands of pounds in cash in an operation to shut down a drugs den.

Officers from Bromley CID also arrested three people after raiding the flat in Maple Road, Penge, on January 27.

The raid followed weeks of surveillance and is part of an operation aimed at disrupting the supply of Class-A drugs in the borough.

The following morning, Bromley magistrates granted an application to close the building under the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003 making it an offence for anyone to live in the flat or go anywhere near there.

Detective Sergeant Gary Sayer said: "I hope this sends out a clear message to those involved in selling and taking drugs in the borough: you are not welcome and you will not be tolerated."

Matthew Junior Daniel, aged 40, of Upper Norwood, Petrine Forde, aged 30 and Everett Wainwright Johnson, aged 37, both of no fixed abode, appeared at Woolwich Magistrates' Court on Saturday charged with conspiracy to supply Class A-drugs.
