YOUNG people can now make their voice heard in the corridors of power.
The borough's new youth council will meet regularly in the Erith cyber cafe, Walnut Tree Road.
The council will put their views to councillors, try to influence council policies which affect young people, take part in council consultations and help organise events.
The council is made up of young people aged 13 to 19 some are working, others are students.
One of its first tasks will be to start a newsletter written entirely by young people. The first edition should be published next month.
One council member will be chosen to represent Bexley at the new UK Youth Parliament on March 1.
