A YOUNG actor is becoming a legend in his own right after his debut role in the blockbuster movie King Arthur.
Park Langley School for Boys pupil, Elliot Henderson-Boyle, swapped his uniform for a costume for a week to play the part of the young Lancelot in the opening scene of the film.
Elliot, 14, of Whitecroft Way, Beckenham, gallops off across marshy land after telling his father he will be taken away by Roman officers.
He said: "This was one of the best roles I have done.
"I loved dressing up as a knight, I had hair extensions put in which took six hours to do, which was then dyed. I really felt I was living in that era."
His ambition is to pursue a film career in Hollywood after receiving encouragement from the movie's director Antoine Fuqua to go to LA to meet with other casting directors.
Elliot is also due to start filming the ITV series Life Begins on August 26, in which he plays Caroline Quentin's son James Mee.
Since he was a baby his agent, Sylvia Young, has helped him get acting work ranging from commercials to starring in programmes such as Goodnight Sweetheart and Mr Bean.
He has also featured in The Bill and the BBC drama series Waking the Dead.
Proud mother Elaine Henderson-Boyle said: We plan to take Elliot on a well deserved holiday before he starts filming next month.
"We are very lucky to have had the support of his school, which has worked around Elliot and allowed him to catch up with his school work.''
