On November 6, the Blackheath Branch of the Guild celebrated their 60th anniversary with a luncheon at the King William Restaurant at the Royal Navy College, Greenwich.
Six representatives from each of the Guilds were invited, as well as the Federation Chairman and Vice Chairman from the Birmingham headquarters.
It was a delightful occasion with reminiscences from members who spoke of their appreciation of many years of friendship, interests and enthusiasms that belonging to Townwomen's Guilds have brought.
Recently an Arts and Crafts Exhibition was held at Sherard Hall in Eltham, each Guild presenting ten items of handicraft, including toys, painting, cookery, flower arranging, embroidery, collage etc.
New members to the Guild are very welcome.
