YOUNGSTERS were the stars of Christmas at their school’s annual festive show.
Sixty Year 2 and 3 pupils at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Bromley dressed up as Christmas cards, trees, reindeer and elves.
The children from the school in Plaistow Lane performed across two days in front of around 250 people.
Called The Stars Come Out For Christmas, the play was an Oscar-style awards ceremony which blended contemporary ideas of Christmas with the traditional nativity story.
Year 2 teacher Tracie Joyce, who organised the production with Year 3 teacher Matthew Rose, said: “Speaking and listening is so high on the literacy agenda and the children have come on leaps and bounds learning words.
“Their confidence has soared.”
