A 15-YEAR-OLD girl accused of the manslaughter of Rosimeiri Boxall has finished giving evidence at the Old Bailey today (Nov 11).
Miss Boxall, of Battery Road, Thamesmead, was found beneath an open window after falling from a building in Coleraine Road, Blackheath, on May 17 last year.
Oluwakemi Ajose, aged 19, of Floyd Road, Charlton, and a 15-year-old girl from Belvedere, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have pleaded not guilty to manslaughter.
It is alleged the pair bullied and beat Miss Boxall at Ajose's flat in Coleraine Road before she fell to her death.
During cross-examination, the 15-year-old defendant denied asking Miss Boxall “Do you want to die?”
It is also alleged that the teenager later complained that Miss Boxall had “escaped” but she denied this.
When asked why she had packed a bag after Miss Boxall's fall, the 15-year-old said it was to accompany her friend to the hospital.
Prosecuting barrister Roger Smart said: “You and Kemi together assaulted and abused Rosimeiri on that day didn't you?”
The defendant replied: “No.”
He went on: “And it remained the case that you did that right up until she left through the window.”
She denied this.
Mr Smart said: “And you and her were in the flat the very time that she left through the window.”
The defendant replied: “No.”
The trial continues.
