ONE of the teenagers accused of causing the death of Rosimeiri Boxall has begun giving evidence.

Miss Boxall, of Battery Road, Thamesmead, was found beneath an open window after falling from a building in Coleraine Road, Blackheath, on May 17 last year.

Oluwakemi Ajose, aged 19, of Floyd Road, Charlton, and a 15-year-old girl from Belvedere, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have pleaded not guilty to manslaughter.

Today the Old bailey heard from the 15-year-old defendant who had been texting and calling a man in the early hours of the morning on the day Miss Boxall died.

The man was described as being Miss Boxall's boyfriend.

The 15-year-old told the court how she had shown Miss Boxall all the texts and that 19-year-old Miss Boxall was joining in on the texting.

She told the jury: "He was saying he wanted to be with her and I think he did agree with it and they were together.

"The night before he was chatting about sexual intercourse and stuff like that and Rosie started saying ‘I think he likes you’ and stuff like that.

"Me and him were texting at one point. Whatever was in that text message I wasn't going to go and do because I knew how old he was. I wasn't hiding it from her so she had moaned that he obviously wasn’t the one for her.

"I wasn't doing anything behind her back."

The trial continues.
