SCHOOLCHILDREN joined coaches from a football club to officially open new sport facilities.
Charlton Athletic coaches and around 30 pupils from Singlewell Primary School opened the new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) near their school in Mackenzie Way, Gravesend, on Friday (Nov 6).
Work began on the facilities, which can be used for football, basketball and cricket, at the end of June with £72,000 funding from Gravesham Council.
A council spokeswoman said: “Young people living near Mackenzie Way will really benefit from this fantastic new games area.
“They will have a lot of fun there while getting exercise to stay healthy.”
