THE third in a series of successful free events aimed at helping parents and their children who suffer from dyslexia has been held in Bexley.

Organised by the Dyslexia Association of Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich and Lewisham, the workshop was held at Slade Green Infant School in Slade Green Road, Slade Green.

Guest speaker was Margaret Cooper a dyslexia specialist and adviser.

She provided tips for fun ways of helping dyslexic children both at home and at school, aimed at parents and other professionals.

Three adult sufferers also gave talks about their experiences in education and in work.

Meanwhile the children were able to take part in supervised craft activities.

More than 70 people took part and were given free resource packs.

The fourth, and last event in the series, takes place at Cherry Orchard School, Rectory Field Crescent, Greenwich, on November 14.
