THEY were in the pink at Bexleyheath School when they held a fundraiser in support of Breast Cancer Campaign’s Wear It Pink day.
Students at the Woolwich Road, Bexleyheath, school paid £1 to wear ordinary clothes to school, of which one item had to be pink.
They also watched a video of breast cancer sufferers talking about their experiences and discussed the facts of the disease and treatments, especially the rising numbers of male sufferers.
During the lunch break there was a fashion show of students dressed in pink and a panel of judges chose the most fashionably dressed, who won a £15 shopping voucher.
The school hopes to have raised several hundred pounds for the charity.
