AN MP has joined the campaign to make a busy train station more accessible.
Bromley and Chislehurst MP Bob Neill is calling for lifts to be urgently installed at Bromley South station so the disabled, elderly and parents with youngsters in pushchairs can make it safely to the platforms.
The station is the busiest on Southeastern’s network but only has two flights of stairs, with no ramps or lifts.
Mr Neill says he has written to the Department for Transport and Network Rail urging them to make changes to the station.
The Tory MP said: “I get letters about this issue from local people on a regular basis.
“Many people want to use the station but can’t because of the access problem and it is about time a lift was installed.”
