FIREFIGHTERS had to rescue a dog from a house fire.
The fire happened at a two storey semi-detached house on Crown Lane, Bromley, at 12.03pm yesterday (November 5).
The dog’s owner, a 36-year-old man, had to be rescued from his bedroom window after the fire broke out in his kitchen.
Four fire crews from Bromley, Forest Hill, Orpington and Beckenham attended and around 20 firefighters fought the blaze.
London Ambulance Service and Bromley police also attended.
The man was taken to hospital for smoke inhalation, his dog did not require treatment.
Around one quarter of the ground floor was damaged by the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
