AN AWARDS ceremony has been held to celebrate the management of bars across the area.
Best Bar None was an initiative being run across Bromley to encourage bars to manage the premises in a more efficient way.
The scheme, launched by Bromley Council and Bromley police, involved bars in Bromley Town Centre.
Assessment ranged from the design and supervision of the premises to the way in which outside smoking and drinking, crime prevention and health and safety issues were addressed.
O’Neills in East Street, Bromley, was crowned the winner and received a trophy, certificate and a boxful of tools such as drugs wipes and drink stoppers.
Bromley police Borough Commander, Charles Griggs, said: “We are never shy of enforcing the law when it comes to licensed premises, but the joy of this scheme is that we can actually reward good responsible behaviour and draw attention to this.”
