A 16-YEAR-OLD boy who saw Rosimeiri Boxall fall to her death has been quizzed further at the Old Bailey.

The witness started giving evidence yesterday morning but failed to appear in the afternoon. He returned to court today.

Miss Boxall, of Battery Road, Thamesmead, was found beneath an open window of a building in Coleraine Road, Blackheath, on May 17 last year.

Oluwakemi Ajose, aged 19, of Floyd Road, Charlton, and a 15-year-old girl from Belvedere, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are accused of her manslaughter.

The boy, who also cannot be named for legal reasons, had been at a flat in the building visiting a friend.

During dross-examination defence lawyer for Ajose, Malcolm Bishop, asked the boy about hearing Miss Boxall fall from the window and Ajose screaming.

Mr Bishop said: "When you heard the sound of the fall, Rosie hitting the ground, at that moment the black girl [Ajose] could not have been in the upstairs flat."

The boy replied: "When the body fell out the window she was screaming but she wasn't outside so how could she have anything to scream about?"

Both girls deny manslaughter.

The trial continues.
