A 16-YEAR-OLD boy who saw Rosimeiri Boxall fall to her death has given evidence at the Old Bailey today (Oct 28).

Miss Boxall, of Battery Road, Thamesmead, was found beneath an open window of a building in Coleraine Road, Blackheath, on May 17 last year.

Oluwakemi Ajose, aged 19, of Floyd Road, Charlton, and a 15-year-old girl from Belvedere, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are accused of her manslaughter.

The witness, who also cannot be named for legal reasons, gave evidence via a video link.

He said he had been painting at his friend George Colewick's flat in the Coleraine Road building and was distracted by three girls, including Miss Boxall.

The boy said: "The girls were distracting us coming in and out. They seemed a bit paralytic to me so I couldn't be bothered to speak to them. One of them had a vodka bottle.

"For some reason the small girl was referring to Rosie as a 'ho' and not in a nice way."

The boy said the three girls were shouting and had fought outside the flat.

Later he was standing in the hallway speaking to a friend.

He said: "I saw something fall onto the floor and heard it snap.

"Then I realised it was her and felt kind of queasy because it's not something you see every day."

Referring to the 15-year-old defendant, he added: "The small one looked like she was leaving the premises as soon as the police were mentioned. She wanted to go but George didn't let her leave."

The two defendants deny manslaughter.

The trial continues.
