A WITNESS in the Rosimeiri Boxall manslaughter trial has been speaking about the moments before the teenager fell to her death.

Miss Boxall, aged 19, of Battery Road, Thamesmead, was found beneath an open window of a building in Coleraine Road, Blackheath, on May 17 last year.

Oluwakemi Ajose, aged 19, of Floyd Road, Charlton, and a 15-year-old girl from Belvedere, who cannot be named for legal reasons, both deny manslaughter.

This afternoon witness Raffaelina Asli spoke in court. Mrs Asli had watched footage on her son's mobile phone of Miss Boxall allegedly being beaten up by the two defendants just before she died.

She immediately went to the flat where the incident had taken place and banged on the door.

She told jurors: "Kemi came out first. She had a towel around her. She literally ran past me and down the stairs. The second girl came out. I went to go into the flat but she said 'don't you go in there'.

"She came back into the flat with me. I called out Rosie's name and no-one answered. At that moment she (the 15-year-old girl) said she had escaped.

"I said 'what are you talking about - we are on the third floor'. With that she (the 15-year-old) got her belongings together in a bag.

"I then started shouting at her and said it was their fault and that they had done this.

"I ran all the way down outside of the house and Rosey was lying out in the front.

"I was the only adult there. I stayed with Rosie begging her not to die and holding her hand. She was gurgling but wasn't able to speak again.

"It’s something I live with every day."

Under cross-examination from the 15-year-old girl's defence lawyer, Tanoo Mylvaganam, Mrs Asli got angry and started shouting.

She then asked for a break which Judge Peter Thornton granted.

The Old Bailey trial continues.
