THE jury in the Rosimeiri Boxall manslaughter trial has seen a video of the teenager allegedly being assaulted by the two defendants.

Rosimeiri Boxall, of Battery Road, Thamesmead, was found beneath an open window of a building in Coleraine Road, Blackheath, on May 17 last year.

On the first day at the trial of Oluwakemi Ajose, aged 19, of Floyd Road, Charlton, and a 15-year-old girl from Belvedere, who cannot be named for legal reasons, prosecution lawyer Roger Smart gave his opening speech.

He said: "It appears there was a friction between them over a boy. Rosie was assaulted on a number of occasions both inside flat seven and in the stairwell of the building in which the flat is located.

"One of these assaults was filmed by a third party, George Culwick, on a mobile phone less than 30 minutes before Rosie fell to her death.

"It is apparent from the footage Rosie made no attempt to defend herself during this assault."

Jury members were then shown Mr Culwick's video which appeared to show Ms Ajose spraying air freshener in Rosie's face, punching her around the head and slapping the back of her head.

The two defendants deny manslaughter.

The Old Bailey trial continues.
