A CHURCH hosted a Chinese celebration to help mark the mid-autumn festival.
The Faith, Hope and Love Fellowship Chinese Service Centre organised musicians and dancers to help celebrate the third largest festival in the Chinese calendar.
There was also a buffet lunch on offer as part of the festivities at Petts Wood Methodist Church in Queensway on October 7.
The centre’s secretary Kit Leung said: “The mid-autumn festival is one of the most important holidays in the Chinese calendar, the others being Chinese new year and the winter solstice.
“Farmers considered this date a harvest festival since fruits, vegetables and grain had been harvested by this time and food was abundant.”
