NORTH Kent’s top police officer visited a town centre to speak to residents about their concerns for the area.

Kent police’s area commander for north Kent Chief Superintendent Paul Brandon took the mobile police station to Dartford High Street earlier this month.

Along with Chief Inspector Philip Painter and the town centre neighbourhood policing, he spent two hours meeting members of the public to find out their views on local policing.

Mr Brandon said: “I really enjoyed meeting the people who live and work within the policing area I oversee and found out first-hand some of their concerns, and even got some leads for enquiries.

“Some simply stopped to see what we were doing and many told us our work is excellent, which is always good to hear.”
