A NURSERY has celebrated Black History Month with help from a theatre company.
Fifty children aged four months to four-years-old joined in with a play which included singing, dancing and puppetry.
Early Years Childcare, Antelope Road, Woolwich hosted the production in their garden area, which was performed by Standout theatre group.
Kente’s Journey is a story about a girl who travels through Africa and the animal kingdom.
Nursery manager Deniz Goordyal said: “We chose to celebrate Black History Month as it reflects the cultures of many of our children and families at the nursery.”
Deputy manager Katie Cropley said: “It was very interactive and the children and staff loved it.”
The theatre group is touring the production to commemorate Black History Month.
