A HEALTH trust has won two gongs at the Royal College of Psychiatrists awards.

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust won Mental Health Service Provider of the Year and Medical Manager/Leader of the Year awards earlier this month.

Dr Ify Okocha, recently promoted to the role of Oxleas’ medical director, received the latter award.

He said: “I would not have received this honour were it not for the hard work and dedication of my colleagues at Oxleas, whose efforts were recognised by the Mental Health Service Provider of the Year award.”

Oxleas looks after the mental health of patients in the boroughs of Bromley, Bexley and Greenwich.

The trust says the awards on October 6 mark the highest level of achievement within psychiatry.
