A HAIRDRESSER has taken part in the final of a national hair colour challenge competition.
Natalie Turner, of Temple Hill, Dartford, took part in the Paul Mitchell Colour Challenge, where she had to perform a hair cut and colour on a mannequin’s head.
The 28-year-old went through to the national final in Birmingham after being selected as one of 10 successful entries in the regional heat for the south-east.
She was up against hundreds of other contestants but unfortunately did not make it beyond the final heats.
Her choice of plum-red colouring was based on an 80s haircut following research on autumn and winter hair colour trends.
The mother-of-one, who works at Fig hair salon, Copperfields, Dartford, said: “I was glad to just get through to the final, which is an achievement on its own.
“To be one of the 10 people who got picked was great.”
