THE elderly were given the chance to try their hand at some new activities to help them stay fit and healthy.
The event at the civic offices in Bromley was also a chance for over 60s to meet new friends and socialise as part of the International Day for Older People.
More than 30 organisations attended the celebration on October 1, giving visiting pensioners plenty of ideas about how to keep fit and have fun.
The Full of Life event was organised by the Bromley Mytime charity, which runs the borough’s leisure services in partnership with Bromley Council.
A spokesman for Bromley Mytime said: “More than £100 was raised from the raffle, with all proceeds going to Harris HospisCare.”
The Orpington-based Harris HospisCare charity helps the terminally ill.
