A GOLF club has raised £2,690 for charity after it held a fun day.
The fun day was held at Ruxley Park Golf Club in Sandy Lane, St Paul’s Cray.
As well as an 18-hole golf tournament there was a charity auction and a crazy putting contest where golfers tried to putt a ball onto a £5 note.
The money raised will be split between the national charity The Alzheimer’s Society, and Lewisham Heart Charity which helps to look after people who have suffered heart attacks.
The two charities were chosen by the captain of the club, Eddie Day, as he has suffered heart attacks himself and one of his family members suffers from dementia.
Ruxley Park Golf Club is part of Orpington Golf Centre and on the day of the event more than 50 people took part.
