Julian Hitch gives a demonstration on self defence
A NEW martial arts school has opened, teaching the Chinese version of Wing Tsun.
Intructors at the Martial Arts School of Excellence claim the school is the only one of its kind in western Europe to teach Wing Tsun’s philosophy and principles.
Instructor Julian Hitch said: “Wing Tsun was created over 300 years ago by a nun in order to overcome stronger and bigger opponents.
“It is our belief that some people today are carrying weapons to defend themselves.
“Wing Tsun teaches its students to have the confidence to walk around without carrying knives.”
Classes at the school in Letchworth Drive, Bromley, are for men and woman aged between 12 and 70.
