A POLICE officer has been arrested over claims he sexually abused three young girls.
The 29-year-old, who works for Greenwich police, was arrested on Tuesday in Kent on suspicion of indecently assaulting the girls who were aged under 13.
The offences were allegedly committed between 1992 and 2001 in Tameside near Manchester.
He has been granted bail by Greater Manchester Police but must attend a Manchester police station on November 30.
The Met confirmed the officer has been put on restricted duties but will not comment further unless he is charged with an offence.
