A FOURTH person has appeared in court charged with the murder of 41-year-old Ian Jones.
Justin Barnett, aged 21, of Bargrove Crescent, Catford, appeared at Sutton Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Aug 26).
Mr Jones’s body was found by police at his home in Creeland Grove, Catford, on May 18.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and a post-mortem examination confirmed the victim had been assaulted, giving cause of death as a single stab wound to the heart.
Mr Barnett has been remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on December 2.
A 17-year-old boy from Catford, a 16-year-old from Sydenham and Derran Bailey, aged 18, of Elmington Road, Camberwell, have already been charged with the murder.
They have been remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on June 8 next year.
A 20-year-old man has been bailed to return on a date to be confirmed.
