A rhetorical question, you may think. Now I’ve always had a very low opinion of trashy down market tabloids like the Sun, Mirror, Daily Mail, Evening Standard etc, but today my opinion dived even further.
I walked into the newsagent to be confronted by the Sun with a headline “SuBo’s about to cut a record”. Come again?
Apparently readers of the Sun are so daft that the majority of words in the English language are too long and difficult for them to comprehend. So everything has to be abbreviated.
No doubt Sun readers will soon be reading about GoBr resigning and being replaced by a new Prime Minister called DaCa and about KaPr and PeAn reconciling.
What a sad indictment of the country that this is allegedly the country’s best selling national newspaper.
