DISABLED artists are displaying their work and thoughts on coping with disabilities at an exhibition in Gravesend.
Users of Kent County Council (KCC) run centres for disabled people in north Kent are showing their artwork alongside written descriptions of their life at Gravesend Library in Windmill Street until the end of next week.
They created the art in workshops held at the centres three times a week by Creatibility, a countywide non-profit organisation supporting disabled artists.
Creatibility crafts tutor Edward Mahony said: “In the free exhibition there are seven pieces of art and statements from 12 service users, who talk about how their disability has affected their life and how local services have helped them.
The 31-year-old added: “There is some excellent artwork from very talented people.”
