A CHARITY is appealing for volunteers to act as mentors to young people.
Northfleet-based Walk Tall, which takes on youngsters who have struggled in school and helps them develop their education and self-esteem, is looking for people to support these pupils.
Volunteers will work with students on a one-to-one bases to discuss their learning and any personal issues, and all applicants will be CRB checked and undergo a training course at the charity’s base in Lower Road.
Walk Tall chief executive Ann Duke said: “Anybody who volunteers to support our young people will find it a very rewarding experience, as they are all wonderfully talented and very keen to learn.”
