THE Mayor of London has apologised to residents on a housing estate over its poor bus service.
Boris Johnson was responding to a question from Liberal Democrat transport spokeswoman, Caroline Pidgeon, about the Horn Park estate in Eltham.
Ms Pidgeon asked the mayor: "After years of pressure, Transport for London (TfL) extended the B15 bus from Eltham to run in a one-way loop around the Horn Park Estate, giving this rather isolated area far better bus access.
"It now appears that this decision is being subverted by the operator turning back buses between Eltham and Horn Park in order to “make up lost time”.
"Can you please ask TfL to ensure that the extension of the service to Horn Park Estate is actually delivered?"
Mr Johnson responded: "TfL is aware of these issues and apologises to passengers who have been inconvenienced.
"TfL is discussing the extension of the B15 with the operator, Arriva, to ensure that these issues can be resolved as quickly as possible."
