LIGHT and location by Alan Barrett was a presentation which demonstrated the importance of the correct light in the taking of photographs.
Most of his subjects were captured in North America, just after sunrise.
The rock surfaces reflect the red of the sunrise which only lasts for a few minutes.
Another location was Scotland, where Mr Barrett photographed rocks and other stones where the reflected light enhanced the strata and colours.
The photography of tree trunks and vegetation in misty weather produced some interesting effects.
And the greens of mosses and vegetation after rain were particularly effective.
The society meets every Wednesday at Clockhouse Methodist Church.
