HEXARA'S first meeting of the new year was very well attended and followed a very successful New Year’s Eve disco dance.
Thanks were given for all who organised the disco and it looks as though this will be a firm favourite each year as the time and place have again been booked.
All the usual sporting activities are back on track and with the very poor weather it is certainly proving very popular to have so many events available to keep everyone occupied.
Diaries are getting booked up already for the year ahead with a proposed early summer disco, the annual dinner, probably in October this year, plus holidays and theatre trips on the agenda.
The first holiday break is coming up shortly when several members are off to Madeira for, hopefully, some winter sunshine.
Most members remembered to bring along unwanted gifts and items an the auction, with all funds raised going to the Kent Air Ambulance.
Once again the chairman, Terry Chapman, did a splendid job of being in charge of events and certainly made great fun out of raising well over £150 for this worthwhile cause.
