LITTER is being removed and anti-social behaviour tackled during a week-long campaign to clean up a beauty spot.
This week (January 26 to 30) Dartford Council’s community cleaning team and park rangers have joined forces with Kent Police officers and residents to improve Dartford Heath, off Shepherd’s Lane.
Residents and council workers are removing litter and fly tipping, clearing pathways and cutting back overgrown vegetation, while police officers patrol the area to deal with any anti-social behaviour.
The council’s portfolio holder for parks and open spaces Councillor Patsy Thurlow said: “By tackling environmental issues and anti-social behaviour, we can combat any problems and encourage residents to take care of the heath so it can continue to be a place for everyone to enjoy.”
