A RAFT of changes to Bexley bus routes designed to improve bus services in the borough has come into operation.

The changes involve 99, 132, 469, B12 and B15 buses.

Route 99, connecting Woolwich and Erith, has been extended to Bexleyheath via Slade Green.

This will improve access to Bexley College and provide new links to Bexleyheath for parts of Belvedere, as well as linking Slade Green directly with Plumstead and Woolwich.

The 132 route running from Bexleyheath to Eltham station has been extended to North Greenwich, giving direct access to the Jubilee Tube line, The O2 and the Millennium Village, with a last bus leaving North Greenwich at 1am.

People living in Erith who use Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich will be able to travel on the 469 route, which used to end at Bexleyheath but has now been extended.

The B15 between Bexleyheath and Joydens Wood has been axed and instead the B12 will be extended.

Instead of ending at Bexleyheath, the B12 will now also run between Erith and Joydens Wood.
